The Datasensing NX16SR/XAN-C000 Sensors offer a comprehensive solution for detecting objects in various applications, including automatic vending machines and irregularly shaped items. This area sensor kit features 16 beams with a controlled height of 150mm and a nominal sensing distance ranging from 0.5 to 2 meters. The beams are spaced 10mm apart, allowing for precise detection of objects as small as Ø 5mm.
Equipped with sensitivity adjustment, the sensors utilize an emitter and receiver function principle with an NPN output type and NO output function. The sensors operate at a switching frequency of 130Hz, with a response time of 500µs for light/dark transitions and 7ms for dark/light transitions. They are designed to operate within a voltage range of 10 to 26VDC, with a no-load supply current of 150mA for the emitter and 25mA for the receiver.
The sensors feature LED indicators for easy monitoring: a yellow LED on the emitter indicates power ON and emission activity, while the receiver has a red LED for signal level and a yellow LED for output state activity. The sensors are protected against short-circuits, reverse polarity, and impulsive overvoltage, ensuring reliable performance.
