The Datasensing NX16SR/XCN-C010 Sensors offer a comprehensive solution for detecting objects in various applications, including automatic vending machines and environments with irregularly shaped objects. This area sensor kit features 16 beams with a controlled height of 150mm and a nominal sensing distance ranging from 0.5 to 2 meters. The sensors are equipped with sensitivity adjustment and crossed beams detection, ensuring precise and reliable performance.
Designed without housing, the sensors provide complete protection against electrical damages, including short-circuit and reverse polarity protection. The LED indicators offer clear status updates, with yellow indicating power and emission activity on the emitter, and red and yellow on the receiver for signal level and output state, respectively.
The sensors operate on an NPN output type with a normally closed (NC) output function, supporting a switching frequency of 130Hz. They are capable of detecting objects as small as Ø 5mm, with a beams space of 10mm. The response time for light/dark transition is 500µs, while the dark/light transition is 7ms, ensuring quick and efficient detection.
With an operating voltage of 10 to 26VDC and a no-load supply current of 150mA for the emitter and 25mA for the receiver, these sensors are energy-efficient.
