The Datasensing Red LED Emission Background Suppressor is a versatile and advanced sensor designed for precise object detection and background suppression. Featuring a bright red LED emission, this sensor is equipped with multiple background suppression functions, making it ideal for detecting shiny and clear objects. It offers a diffuse proximity range of up to 100 cm and background suppression up to 800 mm with the LED trimmer version. The sensor also supports polarized RRX up to 7 m with red LED emission and 12 m with red laser emission, as well as through-beam detection up to 20 m and laser up to 30 m. This model includes a single and double trimmer, along with a push button for easy adjustments. It connects via a 2 m cable or an M8 connector, housed in a rugged IP67 plastic miniature case with M3 threaded holes and metal inserts for secure mounting. The state-of-the-art IO-Link connectivity allows for extended smart tasks, enhancing its functionality. With a nominal sensing distance of 800 mm and a sensitivity adjustment via a 1-turn trimmer, this sensor operates on a background suppression principle. It features an NPN L/D selectable output type, with a switching frequency of 500Hz and a response time of 1ms. The sensor operates within a voltage range of 10 to 30VDC, with a no-load supply current of ? 35mA and a load current of ?100mA. It includes short-circuit and reverse polarity protection, as well as impulsive overvoltage protection. The sensor is built with a plastic polymer fiber glass reinforced housing and a PMMA active head material, ensuring durability and reliability. It is designed to withstand shocks and vibrations, with EMC compatibility according to EN 60947-5-2 standards.
