The Datasensing SH4-14-1800-SM-8 is a high-performance Type 4 safety light curtain designed for advanced industrial safety applications. It offers superior finger protection with a resolution of 14 mm and a controlled height of 1800 mm, ensuring comprehensive coverage and safety. The device features an improved operating range of up to 10 meters, making it suitable for a wide range of environments.
Equipped with both manual and automatic restart functions, the SH4-14-1800-SM-8 provides flexibility and ease of use. Its standard muting functions include 2-signals mono and bidirectional muting, as well as an override feature, all configurable via DIP-SW. The light curtain is designed with a compact profile of 35 x 40 mm, common to the entire SH4 line, and includes integrated LED indications for muting and beam intensity, simplifying installation and maintenance.
The SH4-14-1800-SM-8 is built to withstand harsh conditions, with an operating temperature range of -30 to +55 °C and IP67 protection. It features zero dead zone technology and optical synchronization with 2 beams, ensuring reliable performance. The package includes a complete couple and angular bracket, and the system is compatible with muting accessories that come prewired and preinstalled.
This safety light curtain is cascadable with the SH4 CASCADE, allowing for the connection of up to three units. It uses pigtails with M12 connectors and standard non-shielded cables, supporting a nominal sensing distance of 0.2 to 10 meters. The SH4-14-1800-SM-8 is approved by CE, cULus, TÜV, and UKCA, and complies with EMC compatibility standards according to the 2014/30/EU Directive.
