Datasensing ST 08-A Sensors

The Datasensing ST 08-A Sensors are designed for precision and reliability in proximity detection. Featuring an inductive proximity sensor with a standard M8 flush mount, these sensors offer a nominal sensing distance of 1.5mm and an operating range of 0 to 1.21mm. They are optimized for various materials with correction factors for copper (0.2…0.5), aluminum (0.3…0.5), brass (0.4…0.6), and stainless steel (0.7…0.9). With a repeat accuracy of less than 3% and a hysteresis of under 10%, these sensors ensure consistent performance. The ST 08-A sensors operate on a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc, with a no-load supply current of ? 10mA and a load current capacity of 200mA. They feature a PNP output type with a normally open (NO) function, a switching frequency of 1kHz, and a response time of 0.5ms. The output voltage drop is ? 1.2V at 100mA, and they are equipped with a yellow LED indicator for output state visibility.
