Datasensing ST 81 Sensors

The Datasensing ST 81 Sensors are advanced photoelectric sensor area light grids designed for high-resolution detection. With a controlled height of 100mm and a nominal sensing distance ranging from 0.3 to 3 meters, these sensors are perfect for precise applications. They feature a slim profile with a high resolution of 6mm, making them ideal for detecting flat objects as small as 0.2x75mm and cylindrical objects with a diameter of 6mm. The sensors operate on an emitter-receiver principle and offer a PNP output type in dark mode, with a response time of just 1.7ms. Equipped with optical or wire synchronism and a scan mode input, the ST 81 Sensors ensure reliable performance. The sensors are housed in durable aluminium with an active head made of PMMA, providing robust mechanical protection rated at IP65. They operate within a voltage range of 20.4 to 27.6VDC, with a no-load supply current of ?190mA and a load current of ?100mA. The output voltage drop is minimal at ?1.5V for a load current of 100mA. LED indicators provide clear status updates, with a yellow light indicating the output state and a green light for power-on status. The sensors emit infrared light at 880nm and come with supplied fixing brackets for easy installation. They are approved by CE and cULus, ensuring compliance with international standards.
