Datasensing VM2/A0-1A Sensors

The Datasensing VM2/A0-1A Inductive Sensor is designed for precision and reliability in various industrial applications. This M12 shielded sensor features a nominal sensing distance of 2mm and operates effectively within a range of 0 to 1.62mm. It is optimized for standard targets of 12x12mm FE360, with correction factors for different materials such as copper (0.40), aluminium (0.50), brass (0.55), and stainless steel (0.75). The sensor exhibits a thermal drift of less than 10% and a repeat accuracy of under 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. With a hysteresis range of 1 to 20%, it ensures consistent performance. The VM2/A0-1A is equipped with a TRIAC output type and a normally open (NO) output function, supporting a switching frequency of 25Hz. It operates on a voltage range of 20 to 250Vac at 50 to 60Hz, with a load current capacity of 5 to 300mA and a leakage current of ? 1mA RMS max. The sensor's output voltage drop is detailed in accompanying curves, and it can handle a maximum ripple content of ? 10%. A yellow LED indicator provides a clear output state, and the sensor is ready for operation within 200ms of power-up, with an inrush current of 7A for 10ms. Constructed with a nickel-plated brass housing and a PBT active head, the sensor is designed for durability and ease of installation, featuring a shielded mounting and a 2m PVC cable connection. It is approved by CE and UR, and meets EMC compatibility standards IEC 60947-5-2. The sensor is resilient to shocks and vibrations as per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 standards, and offers mechanical protection rated at IP67. It is supplied with two M12x1 nuts for secure installation, and operates efficiently in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C.
