The Leuze BCL 258i R1M 110 is a compact stationary 1D bar code reader from the BCL 200i series, engineered for integration into constrained spaces such as conveyor line systems. This red laser scanner (Class 1) delivers a scanning rate of 1,000 scans/s and reads all common 1D bar codes (Code 128, 2/5 Interleaved, EAN 128, Code 39) with modulus sizes from 0.2–0.5 mm over a reading field of 40–255 mm. The device connects via two fixed M12 cables—one 0.9 m power/IO connector (5-pin A-coded) and one 0.7 m Ethernet connector (4-pin D-coded)—and operates on +18–+30 V DC. Built-in Code Reconstruction Technology (CRT) enables reliable reading of damaged, soiled, or rotated bar codes, even at acute angles. The integrated AutoReflAct function activates the scanner via a reflector, eliminating the need for external trigger sensors. Its compact lateral cable outlet and dovetail mounting accommodate installation between conveyor lines. The device supports EtherNet IP connectivity, field diagnostics via webConfig software, and is designed for high-availability applications in storage, conveying, and packaging automation. IP 65 protection and optional heating models extend operational range to ?35 °C.
