What does the S (low friction) add to the CUJ? Standard CUJ cylinders use conventional seals that can exhibit stick-slip behavior at low operating speeds, causing jerky, unpredictable motion. The CUJS variant uses specially designed low-friction seals that maintain smooth, consistent velocity throughout the entire stroke even below 50mm/s. This is critical in clean room applications where jerky motion generates vibration-induced particles and can damage delicate workpieces during slow-approach contact, gentle pressing, and precision positioning operations.
The 20mm bore generates approximately 188N at 0.6 MPa through a 25mm stroke. The CUJS20-25D combines low-friction smooth motion with the CUJ free mount versatility in the largest available bore.
