Standard pneumatic cylinders move in a jerky, uncontrolled manner at very low speeds because static friction (stiction) between the piston seals and bore is higher than dynamic friction. The piston sticks, pressure builds, then the piston breaks free and lurches forward until it sticks again. The CQSX series uses a special internal mechanism to eliminate this stick-slip behavior, providing smooth, controllable motion even at speeds below 50mm/sec.
