The SMC 13-MXS20TN-30 is a clean room specification air slide table from the MXS series with TN non-rotating table feature. Part number decoded: MXS = MXS series, 20 = 20mm bore, TN = non-rotating table (T = table, N = non-rotating), 30 = 30mm stroke. The TN option adds enhanced anti-rotation beyond the standard MXS guide mechanism.
The TN feature eliminates any residual angular play in the slide table, providing the most rigid guidance available in the MXS platform. This is the MXS equivalent of the MGPL TN and CXS TN options found in other SMC actuator families. Applications requiring this level of anti-rotation precision include tooling with tight-tolerance alignment features, precision insertion fixtures, and optical positioning where angular deviation must be eliminated.
The MXS20TN-30 provides the highest-rigidity MXS20 at 30mm stroke. For standard MXS20 without TN at similar stroke, the MXS20-40 provides 40mm. For TN with auto-switch, add M9P/M9B suffixes. For the MGPL TN comparison at 20mm bore, the MGPL20TN provides compact guide cylinder TN operation. For the CXS TN comparison, the CXSL25TN provides ball bushing guided TN.
