The SMC 25A-CDA2C50-25Z is a secondary battery compatible air cylinder from the CA2 series with 50mm bore and ultra-short 25mm stroke in clevis mount. Part number decoded: CDA2 = CA2 double acting, C = clevis mount, 50 = 50mm bore, 25 = 25mm stroke, Z = auto-switch groove.
The 50mm bore with only 25mm stroke creates a high-force, short-travel pivoting actuator. At 50mm bore, the CA2 generates approximately 118N at 0.6 MPa through just 25mm of travel. This configuration is ideal for short-stroke clamping, latching, and contact force applications where the cylinder must deliver high force over a minimal distance with angular mounting flexibility provided by the clevis. The clevis accommodates any alignment changes during the short stroke.
