The Turck TBEN-L5-8IOL is a compact multiprotocol I/O module for Ethernet that brings 8 IO-Link master channels and 4 universal digital PNP channels directly to the machine level. Its fully potted, glass fiber reinforced block housing with IP65/IP67/IP69K protection is optimized for harsh industrial environments where vibration, moisture, and washdown are part of daily operation.

With support for Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and CC-Link IE Field Basic, this module integrates easily into diverse control architectures and allows standardization on a single hardware platform across multiple lines and plants. The integrated 2-port Ethernet switch with M12 D-coded connectors supports 10/100 Mbps and enables line and ring topologies, while PROFINET S2 system redundancy provides high availability in critical applications.

The TBEN-L5-8IOL offers 8 IO-Link master ports (Port Class A and B) to connect intelligent IO-Link sensors and actuators, enabling advanced parameterization and diagnostics down to the device level. Four additional universal digital PNP channels rated at 2 A with channel diagnostics allow standard I/O to be combined with IO-Link on the same block, reducing cabinet hardware and wiring effort.

Galvanically isolated voltage groups support segmented power distribution and can be used to implement passive safety concepts at the I/O level. The integrated Field Logic Controller (ARGEE) enables simple control functions to run directly on the module, offloading basic logic from the PLC and improving responsiveness at the edge.
