The Wago 221-413 is a 3-conductor COMPACT splicing connector rated for 600 V and 20 A maximum, supporting copper conductors from 24-12 AWG (0.2-4 mm²) in solid, stranded, and fine-stranded configurations. The connector uses lever-actuated CAGE CLAMP® technology with side-entry wiring and features a transparent polycarbonate housing that permits visual inspection of strip length and wire insertion. With a compact footprint approximately 40% smaller than the 222 Series, it is well-suited for space-constrained junction box applications while maintaining robust electrical performance and safety standards.
The connector operates reliably at ambient temperatures up to 85°C and carries UL 486C approval (UL File #E69654) with UL94 V2 flammability rating. Installation requires no additional toolsoperators simply lift the lever, insert the conductor, and return the lever to secure the connection. The 11 mm strip length and transparent housing enable straightforward field verification of proper termination.
