Wago 221-482 2-Wire Lever Splicing Connector, 221 Series This Wago 221-482 is a compact 2-conductor lever splicing connector for Ex e applications, using CAGE CLAMP spring technology in a transparent housing with light gray actuators. It accepts copper conductors from 0.14–4 mm² (fine stranded) and 0.2–4 mm² (solid/stranded), 24–12 AWG, via side-entry wiring with an 11 mm strip length. Rated for up to 24.5 A (Ex e II) at 400–440 V depending on standard, it operates from -55 °C to +105 °C with UL94 V2 flammability and is approved to IEC/EN 60079-7 and UL 60079 for hazardous (Ex) areas when used with the appropriate mounting carrier. The connector is intended for use with mounting carrier 221?501 or approved alternatives inside suitable Ex enclosures, and is commonly applied in industrial control panels, machinery, and process equipment requiring fast, tool-free termination and ATEX/IECEx-compliant connections.
