- Reinforced insulation between coil and contacts
- A separator plate (e.g., 209-191) must be used for voltages greater than 250 V between adjacent relay modules and for compliance with the reinforced insulation requirements.
- To protect the relay coils and contacts, inductive loads must be dampened with an effective protection circuit.
The WAGO 788 series plug-in relay assembly is designed for railway applications and features a socket base with a red LED. It has 2 poles (2P) and operates with a control voltage range of 16.8-30Vdc (nominal 24Vdc). The relay has a Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT) contact configuration and an electromechanical design. It supports a rated current of 8A continuously, 1.5A at 240Vac (AC-15), and 1A at 24Vdc (DC-13). The assembly includes Push-in CAGE CLAMP connections and is mounted on a DIN-35 rail with a 15mm width. It has an IP20 protection rating and uses Silver-Nickel (AgNi) contacts, equivalent to model 788390.
