- Reinforced insulation between coil and contacts
- A separator plate (e.g., 209-191) must be used for voltages greater than 250 V between adjacent relay modules and for compliance with the reinforced insulation requirements.
- To prevent damaging the gold layer, 30 VDC switching voltages and 50 mA currents shall not be exceeded. Higher switching power evaporates the gold layer. The resulting deposits in the housing may reduce the service life.
- Inductive loads have to be attenuated by an appropriate protective circuit in order to protect relay coils and contacts.
The WAGO 788 series plug-in relay assembly features a socket base with a red LED indicator and is designed with 2 poles (2P) and a control voltage range of 21.6-26.4Vdc (24Vdc nominal). It includes 2C/O (DPDT) contacts in an electromechanical design, with a rated current of 50mA (30Vdc; DC-13) to prevent gold flash evaporation. The relay uses Push-in CAGE CLAMP connections and is suitable for DIN-35 rail mounting with a 15mm width. It has an IP20 protection rating and is constructed with hard gold-plated silver-nickel (AgNi + Au) contacts, equivalent to model 788412.
