The Leuze AMS 348i 40 is an optical laser distance sensor utilizing time-of-flight measurement against a reflector, offering a measurement range of 200 to 40,000 mm with ±2 mm accuracy and 0.9 mm reproducibility (3 sigma). It features a red laser (Class 2 per IEC/EN 60825-1), supports SSI interface (80800 kHz clock) alongside PROFINET RT (Conformance Class B, 100 Mbit/s with integrated switch), and operates on 1830 V DC with five M12 connectors for power, BUS IN/OUT (D-coded 4-pin), service (A-coded 5-pin female), and SSI (B-coded 5-pin male).
