Datasensing AE1/CP-2A Sensors

The Datasensing AE1/CP-2A Sensors are designed for precision and reliability in industrial applications. Featuring an M8 unshielded NC/PNP configuration, these sensors come with a 2-meter axial cable for flexible installation. The robust metal housing ensures durability, while the 360° visible LED status indicator provides clear operational feedback. With an IP67 rating, these sensors are protected against dust and water, making them suitable for harsh environments. ATEX models for category 3 are available upon request, offering additional safety in explosive atmospheres. These sensors boast a nominal sensing distance of 2.5mm and an operating range of 0 to 2.02mm, with a standard target size of 8x8mm FE360. They are equipped with a correction factor for various materials, including copper (0.43), aluminium (0.51), brass (0.59), and stainless steel (0.83). The thermal drift of Sr is less than 10%, ensuring consistent performance, while the repeat accuracy is under 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. The hysteresis ranges from 1 to 20%, providing reliable switching. The sensors operate with a switching frequency of 5kHz and support an operating voltage of 10 to 30Vdc. They feature a no-load supply current of ? 10mA and a load current of ? 200mA, with a leakage current of ? 10?A. The output voltage drop is minimal at ? 1.8V @200mA, and the maximum ripple content is ? 10%. The yellow LED indicates the output state, and the sensors are ready for use within 50ms. Safety features include short-circuit protection, reverse polarity protection, impulsive overvoltage protection, and protection against inductive loads. The sensors are constructed with nickel-plated brass housing and a PBT active head, ensuring longevity and resistance to environmental factors. They are supplied with two M8x1 nuts for secure mounting and are approved by CE and UR standards. The sensors are also compliant with EMC compatibility IEC 60947-5-2 and withstand shocks and vibrations as per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 standards. With a mechanical protection rating of IP67, these sensors are built to perform in demanding conditions.
