The Datasensing AE6/AP-4A Sensors are designed for precision and reliability in industrial applications. Featuring an extremely reduced measure, these sensors come with a robust metal housing and a 360° visible LED status indicator for easy monitoring. With an IP67 housing protection, they are built to withstand harsh environments, and ATEX models are available upon request for specialized needs. The sensors offer complete protection against electrical damages and are available in both standard and long-distance models, as well as standard and short body housing options.
Key specifications include a nominal sensing distance of 4mm and an operating distance of 0 to 3.24mm, with a standard target size of 12x12mm FE360. The sensors have a correction factor for various materials, including copper (0.47), aluminium (0.52), brass (0.58), and stainless steel (0.79). They exhibit a thermal drift of Sr of less than 10% and a repeat accuracy of less than 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. The hysteresis ranges from 1 to 20%.
These proximity sensors feature a PNP output type with a normally open (NO) output function and a switching frequency of 5kHz. They operate on a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc, with a no-load supply current of ? 10mA and a load current of ? 200mA. The sensors have a leakage current of ? 10?A and an output voltage drop of ? 1.8V at 200mA, with a maximum ripple content of ? 10%. The yellow LED indicates the output state, and the sensors have a time delay before availability of ? 50ms.
Built with safety in mind, the sensors include short-circuit protection, reverse polarity protection, impulsive overvoltage protection, and protection against inductive loads. They are unshielded for mounting and have dimensions of M8 x 1 with a length of 35.5mm. Weighing 45g, the housing is made of nickel-plated brass, and the active head material is PBT. The sensors can withstand a tightening torque of 3Nm and operate in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. They are CE UR approved and comply with EMC compatibility standards IEC 60947-5-2, as well as vibration and shock standards IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27. The sensors come with two M8x1 nuts as supplied accessories.
