Datasensing AK1/CN-3A86 Sensors

The Datasensing AK1/CN-3A86 Inductive Sensor is designed for precision and reliability in industrial applications. Featuring an M18 shielded design, this sensor operates with an NC/NPN output and is equipped with a 5-meter axial cable for flexible installation. It offers a nominal sensing distance of 8mm and an operating range of 0 to 6.48mm, making it suitable for detecting standard targets of 24x24mm FE360. The sensor's performance is optimized with a correction factor for various materials, including copper (0.40), aluminum (0.45), brass (0.50), and stainless steel (0.75). Engineered for stability, it maintains a thermal drift of Sr under 10% and a repeat accuracy of less than 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. The hysteresis ranges from 1 to 20%, ensuring consistent proximity detection. With a switching frequency of 300Hz and an operating voltage between 10 to 30Vdc, it supports a load current of up to 400mA while keeping the no-load supply current at a maximum of 20mA. The sensor is equipped with a yellow LED indicator for output state visibility and features robust protection mechanisms, including short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and protection against inductive loads. Constructed with nickel-plated brass housing and an active head made of PBT, the sensor is designed for durability and ease of installation with a tightening torque of 25Nm. It meets CE and UR approvals and complies with EMC standards IEC 60947-5-2. The sensor is resistant to shocks and vibrations as per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 standards, and it offers IP67 mechanical protection, making it suitable for harsh environments. Operating efficiently in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C, the sensor comes with two M18x1 nuts for secure mounting.
