Datasensing AM6/AP-3A Sensors

The Datasensing AM6/AP-3A Sensors are high-performance inductive sensors designed for precision and reliability. With a nominal sensing distance of 4mm and an operating range of 0 to 3.2mm, these sensors are ideal for detecting standard targets of 12x12mm FE360. They feature a correction factor for various materials, including copper (0.33), aluminium (0.4), brass (0.5), and stainless steel (1.05), ensuring accurate detection across different surfaces. Engineered with a short case flush mount design, the AM6/AP-3A sensors offer proximity functions with a PNP output type and normally open (NO) output function. They operate at a switching frequency of 2kHz and support an operating voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc. The sensors are equipped with a yellow LED indicator for output state, providing clear visual feedback. Built to withstand challenging environments, these sensors come with short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and inductive load protection. They are housed in durable nickel-plated brass with an active head made of PBT, ensuring robustness and longevity. The sensors are shielded for easy mounting and have a mechanical protection rating of IP67, making them resistant to dust and water ingress. With a compact size of M12 x 1 and a length of 39.8mm, the sensors are lightweight at 60g and come with a 2m PVC cable for convenient connectivity. They are approved by CE and UR, and comply with EMC compatibility standards IEC 60947-5-2. Additionally, they are designed to endure shocks and vibrations as per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 standards. The AM6/AP-3A sensors are suitable for a wide range of applications, offering reliable performance in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C.
