What is the LR7 Series?
The LR7 is Patlite's 70mm LED signal tower — the largest of four diameter options in the LR series (LR4 at 40mm, LR5 at 50mm, LR6 at 60mm, LR7 at 70mm). The larger diameter delivers substantially more light output per tier than smaller LR models, making the LR7 the default choice for installations where the tower must be visible across a large production floor, warehouse, or outdoor-sheltered area.
Every LR7 assembly is built on the same "Twist and Lock" modular architecture: a base unit at the bottom, stackable LED light tiers in the middle (Red, Amber, Green, Blue, or White), and an optional buzzer module at the top. Pre-assembled assemblies ship as a single factory-configured SKU — no field assembly required. The 3-meter pre-wired cable terminates in flying leads ready for PLC, relay, or panel termination.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between LR7 and LR6?
The LR7 is 70mm in diameter; the LR6 is 60mm. Both run on 24V DC and use the same "Twist and Lock" modular architecture, but the LR7 produces noticeably brighter output per tier due to the larger lens and LED assembly. Choose LR7 when the tower must be visible across a large area (100+ feet) or in high-ambient-light environments. Choose LR6 when panel space is limited or the viewing distance is shorter.
Can I add or change LED colors after installation?
Yes. The LR7's "Twist and Lock" modular design allows any tier to be removed, replaced, or added without rewiring. Buy individual LED modules (LR7-E-R, LR7-E-Y, etc.) from the LR7 Components & Modules page. Note: tiers must be removed sequentially from the top down to protect internal connections.
What's the audible output of the LR7 buzzer?
The LR7 buzzer produces 90dB at 1 meter — the loudest of the LR-series buzzers (LR4/LR5 are 85dB, LR6 is 88dB). It's audible over typical plant ambient noise without being overpowering. Models with "BW" in the part number (e.g., LR7-302WJBW-RYG) include the buzzer factory-installed at the top of the stack.
Is the LR7 available in 12V DC or AC voltage?
