The SMC 10-CM2B40-100Z is a clean room specification standard air cylinder from the CM2 series with a 40mm bore and 100mm stroke. Part number decoded: CM2 = standard round body cylinder (stainless steel tube), B = basic mount, 40 = bore mm, 100 = stroke mm, Z = auto-switch groove. The 40mm bore is the largest available in the CM2 series, generating approximately 754N at 0.6 MPa — significant force for demanding clean room clamping, pressing, and material handling applications. This delivers over 4x the force of the CM2B20 without stepping up to larger cylinder families.

The 100mm stroke provides medium-range travel suitable for workpiece transfer, fixture positioning, gate actuation, and pushing operations on clean room assembly lines.
