The SMC 10-CM2F40-100Z is a clean room specification standard air cylinder from the CM2 series with a 40mm bore, 100mm stroke, and front flange mounting. Part number decoded: CM2 = standard round body stainless tube, F = front flange mount, 40 = bore mm, 100 = stroke mm, Z = auto-switch groove. This is the front flange variant of the CM2B40-100Z, combining the highest CM2 force output (40mm bore) with rigid panel-mount installation via the rod-side flange.
The front flange provides a concentric, rigid mounting point at the rod end, eliminating angular misalignment that can occur with foot-mount or through-bolt installations. At 40mm bore generating approximately 754N at 0.6 MPa, this is a heavy-duty actuator for clean room pressing operations, high-force clamping, panel pushing, and automated gate mechanisms where the cylinder mounts flush to an equipment frame.
