The SMC 25A-CDQ2A80-50DCMZ is a secondary battery compatible compact cylinder with 80mm bore and 50mm standard stroke with DCM cushion, supplied as a base unit without auto-switch. Part number decoded: CDQ2 = CQ2 double acting, A = A-type, 80 = 80mm bore, 50 = 50mm stroke, DCM = cushion with M modification, Z = auto-switch groove. Switches field-installable via the Z groove.
At approximately 301N through 50mm of DCM-cushioned stroke, this base unit provides the most economical entry to heavy-duty CQ2 compact actuation at 80mm bore. The DCM end-cushion absorbs the significant piston kinetic energy at this bore size, protecting connected tooling and fixtures from impact damage. Without a pre-mounted switch, this is ideal for applications where position sensing is handled by separate proximity sensors or is not required.
Applied on battery module end-plate pressing and insertion tooling, prismatic cell flat-pressing fixtures after electrolyte injection, pack assembly structural bracket riveting back-up actuators, large-format pouch cell final-seal hot-bar presses, and formation tray heavy cell holder latching mechanisms. Choose the 80mm bore 50mm DCM as the standard heavy-duty compact CQ2 starting point. For longer stroke, the CDQ2A80-75DMZ provides 75mm DM and the CDQ2A80-250DCMZ provides maximum 250mm. For auto-switch, add M9NL or M9BWL suffixes. RoHS compliant.
