The Wago 221-682 is a compact 2-conductor splicing connector with lever actuation designed for Ex e / Ex eb applications and conductors up to 6 mm² (10 AWG). It uses Wagos CAGE CLAMP spring technology to terminate solid, stranded, and fine-stranded copper conductors from 0.56 mm² (2010 AWG) with a 1214 mm strip length. The connector is rated up to 37 A at 440 V in Ex e II service, with a continuous operating temperature range from ?55 °C to +105 °C and a transparent polycarbonate housing with light gray levers for visual inspection. Side-entry wiring, compact dimensions (approx. 16 × 10.1 × 21.1 mm), and approval for use only in conjunction with a mounting carrier (e.g., 221-511) in suitable enclosures per EN/IEC 60079 make it suitable for hazardous area junction boxes, control panels, and equipment terminations where ATEX/IECEx compliance is required.
