The Datasensing AB1/CN-3A Sensors are ultraminiaturized cylindrical inductive sensors designed for precision and reliability. With a nominal sensing distance of 1mm and an operating range of 0 to 0.81mm, these sensors are ideal for detecting standard targets of 4x4mm FE360. They feature a correction factor for various materials, including copper (0.3 ± 10%), aluminium (0.22 ± 10%), brass (0.32 ± 10%), and stainless steel (0.57 ± 10%). The sensors exhibit minimal thermal drift of Sr (< 10%) and repeat accuracy of less than 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C.
Designed for proximity functions, the AB1/CN-3A sensors have an NPN output type with a normally closed (NC) output function. They operate at a switching frequency of 3.5kHz and support an operating voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc. The sensors consume a no-load supply current of ? 10mA and can handle a load current of up to 100mA, with a leakage current of ? 10?A and an output voltage drop of ? 1.5V at 100mA.
These sensors are equipped with a yellow LED indicator for output state and feature a time delay before availability of ? 50ms. They offer robust protection, including short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and protection against inductive loads. The sensors are shielded for mounting and constructed with a durable AISI303 stainless steel housing and PBT active head material.
With dimensions of M4 x 0.5 and a length of 22mm, the sensors weigh 30g and come with a 2m PUR cable for connections. They are designed to withstand operating temperatures from -25°C to +70°C and are approved with CE and UL certifications. The sensors meet EMC compatibility standards (IEC 60947-5-2) and are resistant to shocks and vibrations (Vibration IEC 60068-2-6 / Shock IEC 60068-2-27). They offer an IP67 degree of protection and are supplied with two M5x0.5 nuts for secure installation.
