Datasensing AE1/CN-2A Sensors

The Datasensing AE1/CN-2A Sensors are designed for precision and reliability in industrial applications. Featuring an M8 unshielded NC/NPN configuration, these inductive sensors come with a 2-meter axial cable for flexible installation. The robust metal housing ensures durability, while the 360° visible LED status indicator provides clear operational feedback. With an IP67 rating, these sensors are protected against dust and water ingress, making them suitable for harsh environments. ATEX models for category 3 are available upon request, offering additional safety for explosive atmospheres. These sensors boast a nominal sensing distance of 2.5mm and an operating range of 0 to 2.02mm, with a standard target size of 8x8mm FE360. They feature a correction factor for various materials, including copper (0.43), aluminium (0.51), brass (0.59), and stainless steel (0.83). The thermal drift of Sr is less than 10%, ensuring consistent performance across temperature variations. With a repeat accuracy of less than 5% and a hysteresis range of 1 to 20%, these sensors deliver precise proximity detection. Operating on a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc, the AE1/CN-2A sensors have a no-load supply current of ? 10mA and can handle a load current of up to 200mA. They feature a low output voltage drop of ? 1.8V at 200mA and a maximum ripple content of ? 10%. The sensors are equipped with short-circuit, reverse polarity, and impulsive overvoltage protection, as well as protection against inductive loads, ensuring reliable operation in demanding conditions. Constructed from nickel-plated brass with a PBT active head, these sensors are designed for longevity and resilience. They are compatible with IEC 60947-5-2 EMC standards and can withstand shocks and vibrations as per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27.
