ABB PSTX72-600-70 Soft Starter - Advanced Motor Control for 208-600V AC, 72A Capacity

The ABB PSTX72-600-70 Soft Starter is designed for optimal motor control and energy efficiency. With a maximum operational current of 72 A and an operating voltage range of 208 to 600 V AC, this soft starter is ideal for medium to large-sized three-phase motors. It supports a control voltage between 100 to 250 V AC at 50/60 Hz. The PSTX features a three-phase control soft start and stop through a voltage or torque ramp, and includes a built-in bypass for easy installation and energy savings. Relay outputs provide RUN, TOR, and Event signals in a normally open state. The PSTX72-600-70 is equipped with advanced functions such as current limit, kickstart, analog output, EOL, motor heating, and pump cleaning. Additional features include jog, braking, stand-still brake, diagnostics, sequence start, and emergency/fire pump mode. The device is user-friendly with a detachable full graphic display rated IP66 and 4x for outdoor use. Communication with the PSTX is versatile, offering hardwire inputs for Start/Stop/Reset of faults, three programmable digital inputs, and built-in Fieldbus communication via Modbus RTU. Optional ANYBUS modules support major protocols like Profinet, Profibus, Modbus TCP, and Ethernet IP. An external adaptor and Fieldbus plug provide additional communication options. The PSTX is a comprehensive solution for motor starting applications, suitable for pumps, fans, compressors, and conveyors, with nominal currents ranging from 30 to 1250 A in inline connection or 52 to 2160 A in inside delta connection.
