The Baumer FSF 025B2005 is a through-beam type fiber optic sensor with a smooth sensing head and a cylindrical shape. It features an actual range of 140 mm and operates within a temperature range of -25 to +250 °C. The sensor head, made of aluminum, measures 3 mm in width/diameter and 17 mm in height/length. It is designed with a 60° exit angle and is compatible with infrared light at 1450 nm. The fiber optic cable, made of glass, is 25 cm long with a 1 mm² cross-section and is encased in a brass chromium-plated jacket. The bending radii are 15 mm for fixed installations and 24 mm for mobile applications. This sensor does not support shortening of the fiber optics, nor does it have an integrated or adaptable lens.
