The Baumer IFFM 08N17A6/L 10142863 is a flush-mounted inductive sensor with a nominal sensing distance of 2 mm and adjustable hysteresis between 2 to 20% of Sr. It features a red LED output indicator and operates at a switching frequency of 5 kHz. The sensor is powered by a voltage supply range of 6 to 30 VDC and has a maximum current consumption of 12 mA with no load. It includes an NPN make function (NO) output circuit, with a voltage drop of less than 2 VDC and an output current of 100 mA. Enhanced with both short circuit and reverse polarity protection, it is built from PBT for the sensing face and die-cast zinc nickel-plated for the housing. The sensor measures 8 mm in dimension, 16 mm in housing length, and is connected via a 2-meter cable. It can be securely fastened with a maximum tightening torque of 0.8 Nm. Suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -25 to +75 °C, it is rated with a protection class of IP 67.
