The Baumer IR18.P08F-11119476 is a quasi-flush, cylindrical threaded proximity sensor with a nominal sensing distance of 8 mm and an assured sensing distance of up to 81% of Sn. It features a temperature drift of ±10% of the real sensing distance and a hysteresis range of 3-20% of Sr. The sensor is equipped with a red LED output indicator and can detect various metals like mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper with 100% correction factor. It operates on a voltage supply range of 5 to 36 VDC, with a maximum current consumption of 12 mA and an output current of 200 mA. The sensor includes PNP make function (NO) output circuit, short circuit and reverse polarity protection. The housing is made of brass nickel-plated with a PBT sensing face, and it measures 18 mm in diameter and 50 mm in length. It connects via a 2-meter cable and can withstand a tightening torque of up to 40 Nm. Weighing 100 g, it operates between -25 to +75 °C, is IP 67 rated, and is resistant to vibrations and shocks as per IEC standards.
