The Baumer IWRM 12U9704/S14 is a quasi-flush mounting inductive sensor designed for precision measurement with a measuring distance of 0 to 4 mm. It offers high resolution, achieving less than 0.001 mm in static and less than 0.005 mm in dynamic conditions, and maintains repeat accuracy of 0.01 mm. The sensor features a linearity error of ±160 µm and is affected minimally by temperature drift, with a variance of ±4% of full scale. It responds swiftly with a response time of less than 2 ms and operates efficiently on a voltage supply range of 15 to 30 VDC, consuming a maximum of 20 mA with no load. The output is an analog 0 to 10 VDC, suitable for loads over 1000 Ohm, and includes safety features such as short circuit and reverse polarity protection. The sensor's cylindrical threaded design is made from brass nickel-plated housing and PBT sensing face, measuring 12 mm in diameter and 50 mm in length. It connects via an M12 connector and can be securely fastened with a maximum tightening torque of 15 Nm. Suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -10 to +70 °C, it is highly durable with an IP 67 protection class, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments.
