The Datasensing AM1/A0-2H Sensors are high-performance inductive sensors designed for precision and reliability. Featuring an M12 unshielded NO connection, these sensors offer a wide range of models including standard, short body, and long distance variations. They are equipped with cable, M12, and M8 plug cable exits, and are available in models with 2 or 3 wires. For specialized applications, ATEX models, category 3, can be requested.
With a nominal sensing distance of 4mm and an operating distance of 0 to 3.2mm, these sensors are optimized for a standard target size of 12x12mm FE360. They exhibit a correction factor of 0.52 for copper, 0.57 for aluminum, 0.62 for brass, and 0.87 for stainless steel. The thermal drift of Sr is less than 10%, and they maintain a repeat accuracy of less than 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. The hysteresis ranges from 1 to 20%.
These sensors function as proximity sensors with an NPN/PNP output type and a normally open (NO) output function. They support a switching frequency of 1.5kHz and operate within a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc. The no-load supply current is ? 10mA, with a load current capacity of 3 to 100mA and a leakage current of ? 0.8mA. The output voltage drop is ? 2.8V at 100mA, and they can handle a maximum ripple content of ? 10%.
For user convenience, the sensors feature a yellow LED indicator for output state and have a time delay before availability of ? 50ms. They are equipped with short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and inductive load protection. The unshielded mounting design is complemented by a robust nickel-plated brass housing and PBT active head material, ensuring durability and reliability.
The sensors are designed to withstand operating temperatures from -25°C to +70°C and are protected against mechanical impacts with an IP67 degree of protection. They are CE and UR approved, with EMC compatibility according to IEC 60947-5-2 standards. Additionally, they are resistant to shocks and vibrations as per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 standards. Each sensor comes with two M12x1 nuts for secure installation.
