
The Datasensing AM6/AP-1A86 Inductive Sensor is designed for precision and reliability in industrial applications. Featuring a compact M12 short shielded design, this sensor offers a nominal sensing distance of 2mm and operates effectively within a range of 0 to 1.62mm. It is optimized for standard targets of 12x12mm FE360, with correction factors for various materials such as copper (0.22), aluminium (0.31), brass (0.41), and stainless steel (0.77). The sensor ensures minimal thermal drift of less than 10% and repeat accuracy under 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C.
With a hysteresis range of 1 to 20% and a switching frequency of 2kHz, it provides fast and accurate proximity detection. The sensor operates on a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc, with a no-load supply current of ? 10mA and a load current capacity of ? 200mA. It features a low output voltage drop of ? 1.8V at 200mA and maintains a max ripple content of ? 10%.
Equipped with a yellow LED indicator for output state, the sensor is ready for use with a time delay of ? 50ms. It includes essential protections such as short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and protection against inductive loads. The housing is made of durable nickel-plated brass, with a PBT active head material, ensuring robust performance in harsh environments.
The sensor is shielded for mounting, with a tightening torque of 10Nm, and comes with a 5m PVC cable for easy connectivity. It is CE and UR approved, with EMC compatibility per IEC 60947-5-2 standards, and is resistant to shocks and vibrations as per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27. Supplied with two M12x1 nuts, the sensor measures M12 x 1 with a length of 39.8mm, and operates within a temperature range of -25°C to +70°C, offering IP67 mechanical protection for reliable performance in demanding conditions.
