The Datasensing PFM1/BN-4H Sensors are designed with a robust AISI 316L stainless steel housing, ensuring durability and resistance to harsh environments. Equipped with an LED status indicator, these sensors offer reliable performance with IP67, IP68, and IP69K protection degrees, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. ATEX models, category 3, are available upon request for environments requiring explosion protection. These sensors feature a nominal sensing distance of 8mm and an operating distance of 0 to 6.48mm, with a standard target size of 24x24mm FE360. They are designed to handle various materials with correction factors for copper (0.33), aluminium (0.40), brass (0.45), and stainless steel (0.75). The thermal drift of Sr is less than 10%, and they maintain a repeat accuracy of less than 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. The hysteresis ranges from 1 to 20%. The PFM1/BN-4H Sensors function as proximity sensors with an NPN output type and offer both NO and NC output functions. They support a switching frequency of 2kHz and operate within a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc. The sensors have a no-load supply current of ? 15mA, a load current of ? 200mA, and a leakage current of ? 15?A. The output voltage drop is ? 2V at 200mA, with a maximum ripple content of ? 10%. Additional features include short-circuit protection, reverse polarity protection, impulsive overvoltage protection, and protection against inductive loads.
