The Datasensing Red LED Emission Through Beam Transmitter and Receiver is a high-performance sensor designed for precise object detection. Featuring a visible and bright red LED emission, this device offers multiple background suppression functions, making it ideal for detecting shiny and clear objects. It supports single, double trimmer, and push button models, with a diffuse proximity range of up to 100 cm and background suppression up to 800 mm for the LED trimmer version. The polarized RRX models extend detection capabilities to 7 m with red LED emission and 12 m with red laser emission, while the through-beam model reaches up to 20 m and the laser version up to 30 m.
This sensor is housed in a rugged IP67 plastic miniature case with M3 threaded holes on the front side, reinforced with metal inserts for durability. It features state-of-the-art IO-Link connectivity with extended Smart Tasks, ensuring seamless integration into various systems. The device operates on a voltage range of 10 to 30 VDC, with a nominal sensing distance of 20 m and a sensitivity adjustment via a 1-turn trimmer. It boasts a high switching frequency of 500 Hz and a rapid response time of 1 ms.
Equipped with yellow OUTPUT and green STABILITY LED indicators, the sensor provides clear status updates. It includes short-circuit and reverse polarity protection, as well as impulsive overvoltage protection, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments. The housing is made from plastic polymer fiber glass reinforced material, with an active head of PMMA, and it connects via a 2 m cable. The device is CE and cULus approved, with EMC compatibility according to EN 60947-5-2 standards, and is designed to withstand shocks and vibrations as per EN60068-2-6. With an operating temperature range of -25°C to 55°C, this sensor is built to perform in a variety of conditions.
