LeuzeThe Leuze LBK S‑01 Safety Radar Sensor provides reliable protection in environments where optical sensors can fail due to dust, smoke, sparks, or humidity. Designed for stationary access and danger‑zone guarding, the S‑01 uses 24 GHz FMCW radar technology to detect personnel movement or presence within ranges up to 4 meters, even when partially obstructed.
Its conical field pattern delivers wide horizontal coverage (50° / 110°) and dependable performance under extreme conditions—from –30 to +60 °C—with an IP67 housing. Certified to Performance Level PL d / SIL 2 (Category 2), it ensures functional safety compliance while minimizing false trips caused by static objects.
Simple integration via BUS IN / BUS OUT M12 connectors and a lightweight PA 66 plastic housing make installation straightforward. Fully compatible with Leuze LBK controllers, the S‑01 is ideal for high‑dust, high‑glare, or humid production areas such as woodworking, welding, or metal‑fabrication operations.
