Datasensing AK1/AN-2A8R Sensors

The Datasensing AK1/AN-2A8R Sensor is an advanced inductive sensor designed for precision and reliability. Featuring an M18 unshielded design, this sensor operates with a nominal sensing distance of 8mm and an operating distance of 0 to 6.48mm. It is optimized for standard targets of 24x24mm FE360, with correction factors for various materials such as copper (0.45), aluminium (0.53), brass (0.56), and stainless steel (0.77). The sensor ensures minimal thermal drift of Sr (<10%) and repeat accuracy of less than 5% at 24V and 23°C ±5°C. With a hysteresis range of 1 to 20%, this proximity sensor features an NPN output type with a normally open (NO) function, capable of switching frequencies up to 600Hz. It operates within a voltage range of 10 to 30Vdc, with a no-load supply current of ? 20mA and a load current of ? 400mA. The output voltage drop is maintained at ? 1V at 400mA, and the sensor supports a maximum ripple content of ? 10%. Equipped with a yellow LED indicator for output state, the sensor is ready for use with a time delay of ? 50ms. It includes essential protections such as short-circuit, reverse polarity, impulsive overvoltage, and protection against inductive loads. The sensor's housing is made of durable nickel-plated brass, with an active head material of PBT, and it is mounted unshielded with a tightening torque of 25Nm. The sensor is supplied with a 10m PVC cable and two M18x1 nuts for easy installation. It is CE and UR approved, with EMC compatibility per IEC 60947-5-2 standards. Designed to withstand harsh conditions, it meets vibration and shock standards (IEC 60068-2-6 / IEC 60068-2-27) and offers mechanical protection rated at IP67. The sensor operates efficiently in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C, making it suitable for various industrial applications.
